Wisconsin Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Updates for Local Agencies
Earlier this year, the Federal Highway Administration approved Wisconsin’s updates to its MUTCD. This training will provide an overview of the 11th Edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), with an emphasis on changes most relevant to county and local transportation agencies.
Participants will learn how to navigate the updated MUTCD, understand key compliance considerations, and apply the new and revised standards, guidance, and options to their day-to-day work.
Topics will include updates related to signs, pavement markings, traffic signals, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, speed management, and temporary traffic control. The course will also highlight common local-agency questions and practical considerations for implementing the changes.
